KNOWLEDGE: GRADUATE KNOWS AND UNDERSTANDS

The student knows and understands, to an advanced extent, the basic economic, sociological and organizational determinants of phenomena related to tourism and recreation, including in historical terms, as well as selected specific issues in the sectors of tourism and recreation (hotel industry, gastronomy, organization and service of tourism, animation free time). The student knows the general principles of creating and developing forms of individual entrepreneurship, taking into account the specificity of tourism and recreation, including hospitality; has the basic knowledge necessary to run his own business in the field of tourism and recreation as well as hotel business. TR-K6 – W04, P6S_WK,

SKILLS

The student is able to use his/her knowledge in solving problems related to work in tourism, recreation and hospitality; is able to monitor changes in the socio-economic environment and take them into account when planning long-term activities on the market. TR-K6 – U01, P6S_UW.

In professional activities in enterprises and public organizations, the broadly understood tourism and recreation sector, the student is able to correctly select, evaluate and make critical analyzes of information from various fields and use them for tactical and strategic activities. TR-K6 – U04, P6S_UW.

SOCIAL COMPETENCE

The student s ready to critically evaluate and use his knowledge; appreciates the importance of knowledge in solving cognitive and practical problems. TR-K6 – K01, P6S_KK

1h Business plan and availability in a business hotel. The conceptual scope of the business plan and its functions.

1h Choice of data comparison form

2h Basic investment efficiency calculation

2h Sources of financing hotel and catering activities: loan, co-financing from UP, franchise, EU, factoring as a source of business services with a special purpose of hotel and hospitality activities

3h Business plan availability - student work
