  • tygodniowy wymiar godzinowy nakładu pracy studenta wynosi 45 h;
  • 1 punkt ECTS odpowiada 25-30 godzinom pracy studenta potrzebnej do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się;
  • tygodniowy nakład pracy studenta konieczny do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się pozwala uzyskać 1,5 ECTS;
  • nakład pracy potrzebny do zaliczenia przedmiotu, któremu przypisano 3 ECTS, stanowi 10% semestralnego obciążenia studenta.

After taking the course, the students:

- gain knowledge on the role and impact of ideas, ideologies and political doctrines in international relations

- know the place and role of ideas, ideologies, and political doctrines in the contemporary world

- are able to identify and analyse political doctrines in the praxis of modern politics

- are able to explain and characterise the way in which political doctrines affect and influence individuals and communities on local, national and international level.

After taking the course, the students:

Efekty uczenia się:

Student has, all in all, general knowledge which allows him/her an objective interpretation of the current events in the international scene and in a given state through the prism of interest of the individual, state, nation and other social groups. K_W09Student has knowledge of the norms and principles (legal, organisational, moral, ethical) binding in international relations and the regularities ruling them as well as of their sources, alterations and importance for individual players in the international scene. K_W13Student has knowledge of the views on the participants and the relations taking place in the area of international relations and their historical evolution. K_W17Student can make use of the theoretical knowledge to analyse international phenomena and processes as well as to correctly interpret national and international political, social, cultural and economic events. K_U01Student is prepared for professional work in international institutions and organisations as an analyst, expert and diplomat. K_U10Student has the skill to formulate objective opinions on important social, world-view, political and international affairs. K_U12Student is prepared for further studies and understands the necessity of permanent learning and extending his/her knowledge and skills indispensable in his/her professional work and in the social life. K_K02Student can independently make decisions and define the priorities serving fulfilment of the task defined by oneself or by other people. K_K05Student gains ability to precisely associate facts and to logically draw conclusions as well as the skill to objectively resolve disputes and social and professional conflicts. K_K07

Metody i kryteria oceniania:

Students will be assessed on the basis of the following:

1. Written assignment (3000 words) (50%)

2. Oral exam (50%)

During the oral exam the following criteria will be taken into consideration:

- knowledge of the main definitions and doctrines

- knowledge of the core readings and main arguments presented therein

- ability to support one†â€™Ãƒâ€ Ã¢â‚¬ąÃ‚¬†â€™Ã‚¢¢â‚¬ąÃ‚¢s claim with additional readings and/or case studies

- ability to present logical argumentation

- critical analysis of the problem supported by references to current issues in the field.

During the exam students will be asked 3 questions two theory-based and one pertaining to recent events in international politics.
