Metody dydaktyczne: |
The course introduces the history of American literature, from its beginnings to the end of the 19th century, through the key texts of the period. It will consist of textual analysis, discussion and interpretation of selected texts. The aim of the course is to build students’ knowledge about American literature and culture, and to teach students to read literary texts critically, in full awareness of their historical and cultural context. The course also develops skills in the use of the English language (reading and speaking). |
Metody i kryteria oceniania: |
Final test (80%): text recognition, quiz, essay questions participation in class discussion glossary project (20%): glossing at least one literary term |
