Metody i kryteria oceniania:

Topics covered during the course will encompass major aspects of the world economy seen from regional and global perspective. Students will acquire over subsequent classes the knowledge on principal mechanisms of global and regional processes, their main actors, causes of observed tendencies as well as their consequences. They will learn about the challenges and opportunities of globalisation and regionalisation. The teaching method assuming complementing the simple static presentation of course material with more dynamic approach focusing on processes is supposed to show the empirical hands-on dimension of globalisation and regionalisation (G&R) and encourage students to further investigate given problem. On the one hand it is inevitable to provide students with some basics of G&R including the theoretical concepts, on the other hand it is necessary to offer an exemplification by referring to concrete G&R problems. The design of the G&R course aims at going beyond the simple provision of facts, figures, theories and other easily accessible definitions. It seeks hence to give students the chance to discuss the challenges, ask questions by drawing attention to certain issue, to unearth underlying relations, evaluate behaviours of actors involved etc. Such approach will require from students the active participation, swift moving among topics and problems and switching perspectives.

Oral exam (can draw on the essay) and discussion
