(tylko po angielsku) The course aims to provide students with a more in-depth knowledge of the role of information technologies in strategic management with particular emphasis on tourism and hospitality. Both micro perspectives and macro perspectives of strategic management will be treated during the course. |

(tylko po angielsku) Lectures: 1. Introduction to the subject. Basic concepts and definitions. 3hrs 2. Information technology in general business strategies. Case studies. 3 hrs 3. Information technology in business marketing. Product strategies, pricing, promotion and distribution. 5 hrs 4. Information technology in the promotion of tourism in countries and regions. 4 hrs Exercises: 1. Creation of product – dynamic packaging – 2,5 hrs. 2. New business models – usage of information technologies 3. Information technologies in distribution systems – case studies - "5 hours. 4. Information technologfies in promotional systems 2.5 hours. |

(tylko po angielsku) Knowledge Knows and understands the importance of strategic management in the operation of tourism and hospitality enterprises and the role of information technologies. • Develops holistic view of the various knowledge and theories of information technologies and strategic management applicable to the hospitality and tourism industry. He knows and understands the importance of information technologies in marketing and other strategies in main functional areas of enterprises and public organizations. Skills Students can apply the theoretical concepts in preparation of strategic documents in tourism and hospitality enterprises. Is able to show benefits of different information systems in various strategies management in the tourism and hospitality enterprises. Social Competences Students can actively participate in team work playing particular social roles, including leadership. Students can present publicly their opinions on particular aspects of tourism. |
