1/ Student is able to make the right selection of food products taking into account factors that facilitate and obstruct the absorption of nutrients from the gastrointestinal tract and take into account individual energy requirements as well as macro and micronutrients.

2/ The student has knowledge of biochemical processes occurring in the digestive tract during digestion and absorption of food.

3/The student has knowledge of the physiological functions of macronutrients (proteins, fats, carbohydrates) and micronutrients (electrolytes, trace elements, vitamins)
